FC Bayern Basketball will receive a EuroLeague wild card for two years from the 2019/2020 season after next. This strategic decision was taken by the ECA Shareholders Executive Board at a meeting in Madrid on Thursday. The top class of European basketball will be increased from 16 to 18 clubs during the above-mentioned season. The second club with a wildcard will be ASVEL Villeurbanne from France.
"We would like to thank the shareholders of EuroLeague for this great trust and will do everything we can to justify it," said FCBB Managing Director Marko Pesic.
